if you are a gamer on pc then you will already know about steam but for those of you who don’t this will partly help you find out and fully help you understand what it is and what it does.
steam is a client for running most games on (mainly valve produced or endorsed) but you do have a choice on adding non steam games (like age of empires and world of warcraft)

That’s just the surface. steam also is a community thing as well. add your friends make groups (now trade stuff in tf2) have arguments who is better than go into game and prove it.
as well as doing all that you can see all the update notes from the client and any other related stuff from the news tab.

each game is different tho you need to go into the store look at the game you want and see if it will work
